Born in Jerusalem, Israel. Attended photography courses at the National Israeli Museum as a young child and went on to study Stills Photography at the Ecole des Beaux Arts La Cambre in Brussles, and later still, evolving from still to moving images, Film & TV studies at Tel Aviv University.
Worked for six years as Camera Assistant with leading Israeli DoPs in feature films and commercials. Since 2000, working as Director of Photography and shooting commercials. Alongside his camera work, teaches video courses at the Visual Communication Department of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem.
As Director of Photography, enjoys his great freedom to be as diverse as he likes. "Sometimes I like to shoot handheld, other times I would prefer to use locked camera. Sometimes I would have the scene expressively lit, yet other times prefer available light." That's the wonderful thing about the camera – the flexibility and variety of styles it allows you when you come to tell a story, seeking to give every film its own visual identity.
